The main producing areas at world-wide level of aloe vera are the Mexico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, China, Thailand, United States, Costa Rica, India, Malaysia, Guatemala, Spain, Italy, Aruba & Curaçao, Argentina, Australia, South Africa, Colombia and Brazil.

The main areas of aloe vera gel production are the states of Texas and Louisiana in the United States, the state of Falcon and Lara in Venezuela; Tamaulipas, Campeche, Yucatan and San Luis Potosi in Mexico, and Dominican Republic. Aloe yellow spa (aloe gum) is mostly produced in the Caribbean, Venezuela, South Africa, Mexico, Zimbabwe, India and China.

In Latin America are found some areas of production but in smaller scale of aloe vera in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay and Chile.
